EMDRIA Member Danielle Brown, LCSW is mentioned as a resource in this Upworthy article “10-year-old Uvalde shooting survivor is healing with the help of an innovative therapy method.” Brown is cited “[EMDR] does not erase the memory, but rather it helps in reprocessing and reintegrating them with more positive associations so that the memory does not trigger the same emotional or physiological response witnessed with PTSD.”
Dr. Carol Cole, PsyD, EMDRIA member, is featured on a Close Up Radio preview here discussing trauma, loss, her own life, and EMDR. “When given the opportunity, our brains have a remarkable resiliency and drive towards adaptive emotional health.
