Approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits
Research shows that it takes an average of 5-12 years in therapy for someone with a dissociative disorder to be diagnosed appropriately. EMDR therapy is at its best ineffective and at its worst dangerous for those with undiagnosed dissociative disorders. However, with the right education, EMDR therapists can successfully help these clients. This workshop is for clinicians who want to improve their understanding of how to assess and work with clients who have dissociative disorders. This course will be held over 5 days (March 28, April 11, April 25, May 9 & May 23, 2024) and will review in detail how to navigate phases 1 and 2 of EMDR therapy with clients with histories of complex trauma.
