This live webinar provides detailed approaches to assess for Complex Developmental Trauma Symptoms and Disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder. Differences and similarities between normal ego states and dissociative disorders will be discussed. Testing instruments will be described and, the pros and cons of their use with highly traumatized individuals will be discussed. We will explore the differences between Complex PTSD with dissociative features, normal ego states, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. We will also include an assessment of readiness for therapy or the need for stabilization. Participants will learn lines of questioning to clinically assess for dissociation.
