Attachment problems are increasingly recognized as a major predisposing factor for all kinds of physical and mental health problems, despite rarely being the main presenting problem. This session will review the relationship between attachment problems and chronic pain/MUS including neurobiological substrates, why addressing attachment problems is paramount, and how to address attachment deficits.
