Live Webinar

Approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits

This is a 10 month long webinar which will be held on the first Friday of each month starting on September 2, 2022 and ending on June 2, 2023.

The first five modules introduce participants to basic tenets of Ego State therapy and how to integrate that treatment modality with EMDR to treat complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorders. This course focuses on identifying the difference forms of dissociation, affect tolerance as it relates to self-states, how to identify ego states and parts, understand the key aspects in the development of the adult self, how to work with internal conflict, learn to develop present time orientation and how to integrate these approaches with Standard EMDR reprocessing. The tools that work with post-traumatic stress disorder often do not work or can be traumatizing or destabilizing to those clients who are dissociative. The last five modules focus on how to develop resources with these complex cases. In addition, this course teaches how to work with internal systems that may have opposing ideas or perceptions of past events and individual needs. This course addresses how to work with clients who have parts they do not yet know or who are in conflict. Case conceptualization and goal setting are reviewed, as well as, how to implement the Standard EMDR Protocol or a fractionated protocol with dissociative clients.

Presenters: C Paula Krentzel, Ph.D. & Jennifer Tattersall, LCSW
