This live webinar will focus on the practical application of mindfulness and EMDR and includes an overview of the benefits of mindfulness, up-to-date research on mindfulness, and the neurological benefits of mindfulness practice. We will discuss how to help clients develop a mindfulness practice, state change vs. trait change, how EMDR and mindfulness are similar and how they are different, and some relevant points from the Buddha’s teaching, The Eightfold Path, that are relevant to therapy in general and EMDR in particular. Additionally, we will talk about different types of mindfulness practice and how they can supplement EMDR therapy.
