In this course, participants will learn about available Group EMDR protocols, the evidence base that supports this work, and both how and when group EMDR work can be implemented with children, teens, and families in various clinical settings. Through lecture and guided activity, clinicians will learn adaptations to accommodate groups of various ages, what to consider when forming groups, and how to begin conceptualizing a place for group EMDR work within their clinical settings. Common perceived barriers to group EMDR work will be discussed, as well as effective strategies to overcome them.
