This in person presentation covers the essential traits and behaviors that EMDR therapists need in order to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance with their clients. Contributions from neuroscience, AIP-based definitions of transference and countertransference, and practical suggestions for dealing with re-enactments and mis-attunements will be discussed.
