In this course, participants will explore the intersection of trauma, patriarchal socialization, and mental health among Latino men. Drawing from culturally responsive frameworks and the work of Gabor Maté, Terry Real, and Jackson Katz, participants will examine the unique mental health needs of Latino men, including the role of masculinity, relational patterns, and intergenerational trauma. Special focus will be given to trauma treatment strategies, including the application of EMDR Therapy in culturally attuned ways. Participants will leave equipped with culturally grounded tools to engage Latino men in therapy with compassion, accountability, and effectiveness, whether in individual, couples, or family settings. This course is being offered both in-person and as a live stream webinar.
