Approved for 4 EMDRIA Credits

This course equips participants with innovative tools to address attachment wounds in clients, blending theories from Psychodrama and Role-theory with EMDR techniques, particularly the use of metaphors in reprocessing treatment. It delves into foundational concepts such as imprinting, influenced by the studies of Konrad Lorenz, and attachment theories from Bowlby, enriching the practitioner’s approach to emotional healing. Participants will explore the Identity Matrix within Psychodrama, focusing on child development phases, and learn how EMDR can be effectively used to reprocess traumas impacting attachment. The course also covers the strategic implementation and therapeutic use of metaphors, enhancing the reprocessing of deep-seated emotional issues.

Presenter: Esly Carvalho, Ph.D.
