This presentation will examine the AIP model in relation to persons with a disability. We’ll cover important considerations when using EMDR such as the prevalence of trauma, understanding the meaning of “abelism, and becoming familiar with disability “etiquette.” Videos of questions to ask in phase 1, internal resourcing in phase 2, and making phases 3-8 “accessible” will be shown followed by breakout room discussions.
