Most people are reacting from the subconscious impact of experiences that prevented or disrupted a secure attachment. Our work is to support the client in cultivating a secure attachment through education, intention, validation, and brain-based therapeutic interventions. While attachment wounds often are created in the preverbal stage, these interventions can be applied at any stage of life. This training focuses on the “How” of attachment work in therapeutic sessions to include: education, tools, and interventions to support the healing of wounded attachment. Specific focus will be on grounding techniques during Phases 1 Assessment, 2 Preparation, & 7 Closure; Interweaves that can help facilitate attunement & attachment during Phase 4 Desensitization and/or Phase 5 Installation; & several interventions for building a secure attachment with Phase 4 Desensitization and/or Phase 5 Installation.
