Live Webinar

Approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits

This live webinar is for any EMDR therapist who wants to take their clinical work to a new level. This course will review the basic principles of Polyvagal Theory and how to apply this knowledge to case conceptualization and treatment planning, as well as the power of the social engagement system and its role in therapy and EMDR-focused work. The concept of therapeutic presence will be explored and its clinical relevance to the counseling process. Participants will learn how to “warm up” EMDR therapy and why putting greater emphasis on the interpersonal relationship is key. Participants will learn several concrete Polyvagal informed interventions to prepare clients for memory reprocessing. Participants will learn Rebecca Kase’s Preparation Hierarchy model, which offers a clear road map for identifying skills needed for reprocessing and determining client readiness for desensitization. Participants will review the many overlaps of Polyvagal Theory and AIP, and how to integrate this model throughout the 8 phases of EMDR therapy.

Presenter: Rebecca Kase, LCSW
