Approved for 14 EMDRIA Credits
A comprehensive approach to Early EMDR Interventions, Recent Trauma Episode Protocol (RTEP) and Group Trauma Episode Protocol (GTEP) are researched informed, highly effective strategies to reprocess recent traumas as well as building resilience during ongoing traumatic events. RTEP and GTEP, developed by Elan Shapiro, MA and Bruit Laub, PhD focus on safety and containment, given the nature of recent traumatic events. Both Protocols are easily adapted to Tele-behavioral Health, particularly in emphasizing containment and safety. Given the myriad of ways the COVID-19 pandemic, person-made and natural disasters are creating trauma individually and within communities throughout the world, these protocols are particularly useful and timely. In additional, participants will learn a comprehensive structure stabilization and resource protocol, GREP.
Presenter: Josie Juhasz, LPC & Deborah Silveria, Ph.D.
