This live webinar will provide a brief overview of how to identify human trafficking in the community and in clients, as well as a review of some of the psychological effects of human trafficking. We will then follow the case of a human trafficking survivor from start to finish. We will proceed through all eight phases of EMDR, complete with interviews with a trafficking survivor that will allow participants to hear her story in her own words.  The preparation phase will include a detailed discussion of how dissociation may be managed in the context of EMDR. We will proceed through the phases, including how desensitization is approached with this level of dissociation and complex trauma.
