Approved for 23 EMDRIA Credits

This master retreat course (September 26 – October 1, 2021) is for EMDR-trained therapists who work with complex developmental trauma and are navigating the delicate balance between the clinical landscape and the relational demands of the therapeutic dyad. We will explore how as we, as therapists, can inadvertently step into these roles with our clients who themselves struggle with these attachment-related dynamics. As part of navigating this complex territory, we will address the importance of having an ongoing therapeutic contract and establishing the rules of engagement as a means of staying the course over time, especially during difficult passages. We will review conceptual maps as well as practical strategies to navigate these demands, both in and out of memory processing. You will walk away feeling refreshed and renewed after embarking on a personal journey with your fellow colleagues, having a deeper appreciation of the enigmatic territory between ourselves and our clients. At least one-year post-basic training recommended.
