TRAINING OVERVIEW

This EMDR Training is designed for licensed mental health professionals who work in a clinical setting. The training meets EMDRIA requirements and includes lecture, demonstrations and supervised practice. The consultation hours are included in the registration fee. This EMDR Basic Training is uniquely designed to explore the cultural and historical implications of trauma as experienced by the BIPOC community as well as all others. The trainer will use the Adaptive Information Processing model to address the unprocessed memories that continue to contribute to a wide range of current dysfunctions at an individual, family, community, and cultural level. Using EMDR therapy protocol, this curriculum also covers basic neurobiology and neurophysiology impact of trauma that among many, has lost its historical context.
