Even though EMDR Therapy is a complete therapy from intake to termination, many clinicians finish their EMDR Therapy Basic Training with the impression that the reprocessing phase is the holy grail and all good EMDR therapists must take their clients into reprocessing quickly.  This works well for some clients.  Unfortunately, there is a significant number of clients where this only makes matters worse and most of us have clients like this.  This live webinar will explore reasons why reprocessing does not go well and what to do to correct and prevent this phenomenon.   The webinar will also introduce the need to add a theory of dissociation into your clinical toolkit to help you conceptualize readiness and think through what needs to happen in Phase 2 of the Standard Protocol when readiness for reprocessing is not met.  There will be time for Q&A and discussion.
