A Cursory Review of a Unique Treatment Program for ADHD & ADD Using EMDR as an Adjunct Treatment to Address Accumulated Small t Traumas in this Population

The presenter will review current issues with A.D.H.D. or A.D.D. as they relate to small t traumas that accumulate over time. This program will acquaint the participants with the use of the Standard EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) protocol to address accumulated small t traumas in this population. The integration of the use of adjunct modalities will be discussed to support the individual with A.D.H.D. or A.D.D. to develop a calm safe place. These include sand tray, biofeedback games and/or drawing to establish a sense of calm. The benefits of using Mindfulness and supplements as well as group therapy and parent training will be highlighted.
