This 3 hour online course will provide EMDR therapists with an understanding of the neurobiology and psychophysiology of pain and how many chronic health conditions are syndrome states resulting from the repeated disruption of the body’s systems individually and collectively. Participants will learn an organized framework and comprehensive model of care to understand the treatment needs of clients suffering with chronic pain and chronic health conditions, as well as an overview of the EMDR Pain Protocol and how to apply the EMDR Standard Protocol with this population. Other new nervous system driven interventions for relief and recovery will also be introduced and explained, all of which complement or build upon the foundational understanding of the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model.
