About 1 in 6 people are neurodivergent. Neurodiversity is an umbrella term used to describe the variation of human brains including autism, ADHD, OCD, Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities, and more. Given the size and diversity of this population, neurodiverse-affirming care is an essential element of all competent, accessible care—and EMDR is no exception. Read case vignettes that affirm using EMDR therapy with neurodiverse clients in this article by SarahRose Hogan, LCSW-R from the Winter 2023 issue of Go With That magazine.
