The Charlottesville rally, also known as the Unite the Right rally, organized protesters to march against the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee from Charlottesville’s Emancipation Park and promoted the unification of the American white nationalists. The event of The Unite the Right Rally was the first mobilization of EMDR therapists in Virginia. Four therapists and one Onsite Coordinator were deployed to a site prior to the event. It was important to be there on the ground and respond immediately to the crisis that ensued.
