There is a multitude of benefits associated with a regular yoga practice. The benefits are both physical and psychological. Most notably, yoga has been linked to decreased perceptions of stress. Evidence has shown that deep, slow breathing regulates the autonomic nervous system and triggers the parasympathetic relaxation response (Tellhed et al., 2019).
