Carmen Jimenez-Pride is an award-winning, best-selling author, psychotherapist, and internationally sought-after speaker. She is the founder and Executive Director of Outspoken Counseling and Consulting LLC and the visionary behind Diversity in Play Therapy Inc. Carmen holds multiple credentials, including Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, Internal Family Systems Therapist, and IFS Lead Trainer.

As the Diversity in Play Therapy Summit organizer, Carmen is deeply committed to enriching the lives of children, adults, and families. Carmen empowers clinicians with tools and curricula that foster growth, healing, and inclusivity. She created Focus on Feelings®, an emotional literacy program centered on diversity and emotional intelligence. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a therapeutic business coach, supporting fellow clinicians in building impactful, thriving practices.

Carmen started her EMDR journey in 2020 and became a Certified EMDR Therapist. She continued her EMDR and became a consultant in 2024. She continues her dedication to therapeutic healing by serving marginalized populations who have experienced trauma by providing EMDR therapy. Carmen also provides EMDR consultation for individuals working with marginalized populations.
