About Me

Alistair is an Adjunct Professor of Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), a Registered Clinical Counsellor operating in private practice, and the Director of Wellspring Counselling Inc. His therapeutic expertise encompasses a broad range of areas such as anxiety, stress, mild-to-moderate depression, phobias, self-discovery, life decision-making, self-esteem building, parenting, and fostering effective communication in relationships. His therapeutic approach bridges neuroscience with integrative techniques, creating a unique fusion of EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioural, Emotion-Focused therapies, and Clinical Hypnosis. When not immersed in research or family life, Alistair's eclectic interests take him to the realms of martial arts, history, military strategy, argumentation, science, and philosophy.
