Michael Callahan, LMFT
About Me
Life is a journey filled with both challenges and opportunities, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. As a therapist, my passion is to provide support and guidance during these tough times. I walk alongside you, respecting your unique path and pace. I realize firsthand how difficult it can be to seek therapy, but I believe in the process and am committed to the notion that people can and do change.
I resonate with the prophet Isaiah’s charge, “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God” (Isaiah 40:1), and have made it my mission to bring comfort to diverse populations who are experiencing trauma, spiritual burnout, anxiety, depression, couples issues, and more.
Education & Experience
I have a BA from California State University, Fullerton, a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University. I am also pursuing a Doctorate from Fuller Seminary.
In addition to my practice as a therapist, I also serve as a pastor as well as a Chaplain in the United States Army, currently holding the rank of Major. I am also a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and work with Active Duty Military and Veterans who have experienced trauma or challenges associated with military life.
