About Me

I have always been compassionate and a champion for the underdog. My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight one. I was a teacher first and later in life found what I believe to be my true purpose. My education, professional experience, and life experiences have shaped not only the therapist I am, but the way I understand and connect with people.

After years of working with people who have experienced toxic and abusive relationships, I understand how deeply these experiences can affect self-worth, trust, identity, and your ability to trust yourself. Healing involves more than leaving an unhealthy relationship. It can mean understanding what happened, recognizing patterns, processing the hurt, developing healthy boundaries, and finding your voice again.

My work also includes spiritual and religious abuse, where fear, guilt, shame, manipulation, or control may become intertwined with faith. I offer a safe space to explore these experiences without judgment or being told what you should believe.

I am an EMDR therapist who completed training through an EMDRIA-approved program and use EMDR when appropriate to help clients process trauma and distressing experiences. I also have a special interest in supporting women navigating perimenopause and menopause and the emotional, relational, and identity changes that can come with this stage of life.

At the heart of my work are honesty, compassion, and connection. I’m not here to tell you who you should be or give you all the answers. I’m here to listen, understand, challenge you when needed, and help you find your own way.

You may not know exactly where you’re going yet. Sometimes you just need a safe place to begin and someone who believes you can find your way forward.
