Dr. Lillian Haley, PhD, LMSW, GC-C
About Me
I believe healing involves more than reducing symptoms. It also includes restoring a sense of safety, meaning, connection, and hope. My goal is to create a compassionate, culturally responsive space where clients can process painful experiences, heal, and move toward lasting well-being.
I am an EMDR-trained clinician, Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C), and prelicensed clinical social worker under clinical supervision in Georgia. My work is informed by advanced training in grief counseling, thanatology, and trauma-informed care, as well as graduate study in chaplaincy and pastoral care. This interdisciplinary foundation allows me to thoughtfully address the emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of healing while honoring each client's beliefs, values, and preferences. I work comfortably with clients of all faith backgrounds, as well as those who identify as spiritual, questioning, or nonreligious.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing grief, traumatic loss, anxiety, caregiver stress, adverse life experiences, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals whose losses have affected not only their emotional well-being but also their sense of identity, purpose, or spirituality. Together, we work to process experiences that continue to shape the present while building the internal resources needed for healing and growth.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am a researcher, educator, and emerging chaplain whose scholarship focuses on grief, bereavement, trauma, and the intersection of mental health and spirituality. These experiences deepen my appreciation for the many ways people make meaning of suffering and recovery.
Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, healing from trauma, navigating overwhelming life changes, or seeking greater emotional and spiritual well-being, I would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward healing.
