About Me
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, creating a supportive, collaborative space built on trust, respect, and your individual pace for growth and healing. While I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist, I use an integrative approach—combining EMDR if appropriate with other traditional and tailored therapies to best fit your unique goals. I warmly welcome individuals from all backgrounds.
My practice is dedicated to supporting those navigating: Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, grief/bereavement, anxiety, depression, family, and spiritual or religious concerns. In addition, I provide specialized, compassionate therapy for individuals in recovery from alcohol or drug use disorders, as well as fellow professionals in the helping and healing field.
My journey as a therapist began in the tri-state area of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, where I lived and worked before making the Pacific Northwest my home. I moved here to serve as the Alcohol and Other Drug Coordinator and Senior Staff Therapist at the University of Oregon Counseling Center. For nearly six years, I supported students on campus and also spent four years serving as the Director of the University of Oregon Collegiate Recovery Center before making the meaningful decision to venture into full-time private practice.
With over 29 years in the helping profession, my career began by working with adolescents navigating substance use and mental health challenges. Over nearly three decades, I have been honored to walk alongside a truly diverse range of individuals across the lifespan—including late teens, college students, adults, and seniors. Throughout nearly three decades of work, I have remained deeply committed to doing my own internal work and continuing my own growth. I believe that honoring my own healing path is what allows me to show up fully, authentically, and sustainably for you.
Education & Experience
I earned both my undergraduate degree in counseling (1997) and my Master’s degree in counseling (1999) from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
With almost three decades of experience, I am a licensed LPC and CADC-III in Oregon. My EMDRIA certification in EMDR offers a powerful path for trauma processing
