Mingyi He, LCSW
(She/Her/Hers)
Preferred Name: Maggie(Mingyi) He
About Me
I specialize in working with adults and adolescents experiencing complex and developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and burnout. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping clients feel understood, build self-awareness, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self.
My clinical training includes EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), AEDP, CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and somatic and attachment-based approaches. I integrate these modalities flexibly based on each client’s needs, often combining EMDR and IFS when appropriate to support deeper trauma processing and healing. I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients, high-achieving professionals, immigrants and BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ clients, and young adults navigating identity, relationships, and major life transitions.
Education & Experience
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University and am an EMDR clinician with Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and AEDP Training. My additional training includes CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), ACT, and trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatic approaches. I have extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, and families, with a focus on complex trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
