About Me
Sometimes the things we’ve been through continue to affect us long after they’re over. You may understand logically that you’re safe or that the past is behind you, but your body and emotions don’t always seem to get the message. You might find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or reacting more strongly than you want to.
I work with adults who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, difficult relationships, and other overwhelming life experiences. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, relationship and attachment difficulties, and the psychological impact of motor vehicle accidents and concussion.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I use EMDR to help clients process experiences that may still feel unresolved or “stuck,” while integrating IFS, attachment-based, emotion-focused, and somatic approaches. We won’t simply focus on what happened to you. We’ll also explore how those experiences have shaped the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
Therapy doesn’t need to be about pushing yourself to revisit experiences before you’re ready. I believe in working at a pace that feels manageable, building safety and trust along the way, and helping you develop a different relationship with the parts of yourself that learned to survive difficult experiences.
My hope is that therapy can help you feel less controlled by the past and more connected to yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University.
My clinical experience includes working with adults experiencing trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, attachment and relationship difficulties, burnout, and the psychological effects of motor vehicle accidents, concussion, and other significant life experiences.
My clinical approach incorporates EMDR alongside Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), attachment-based approaches, and somatic interventions.
