Approved for 6 EMDRIA Credits

This workshop uses the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model to bridge these areas of practice. Participants will follow the developmental continuum from reproductive experiences through pregnancy, infancy, childhood, and family life, considering how experiences may be encoded and expressed differently in parents, infants, children, and relationships across development. An integrated conceptual framework will bring together three core developmental tasks—parental identity, emotion regulation, and relationships—with recurring trauma themes involving safety and vulnerability, responsibility and shame, choice and helplessness, and belonging and isolation. Participants will use this lens to identify potential points of injury and sources of adaptive information within individual and family histories. This event is being offered both in-person and as a live stream webinar.

Presenter: Mara Tesler Stein, Psy.D.
