Cynthia Levesque, LMHC, LPC, CADC III
(She/Her)
Preferred Name: Cynthia
About Me
Since EMDR became an integral part of my clinical practice, I have witnessed some of the most incredible and transformational results as this powerful modality helps clients break through some of their most deeply rooted or long-held beliefs, blocks, traumas, and challenges. I specialize in anxiety, trauma and preverbal (early childhood) abuse/neglect and attachment/relational issues, addictions, and performance. I frequently work with other health care professionals, executives, and folks in high stress, high demand positions. I am excited to work with motivated clients that are ready to tackle their challenges together in a safe, supportive, and often playful way. Therapy can be tough and serious work. A strong, trusting connection along with a sense of humor and curiosity can yield some pretty amazing results. I look forward to what we can accomplish together! Since I provide EMDR in an intensive (long session) format I do not accept insurance or provide a superbill.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. I am also a master level Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC III). I am a board approved clinical supervisor for LPC, LMFT, and Addictions (CADC), as well as an EMDRIA certified therapist and approved consultant. Currently I work as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer for an Oregon non-profit in behavioral health while also maintaining a small private practice. Previously, I worked as the director for an outpatient mental health and substance treatment program for almost a decade, and prior to that I was a therapist for an assertive community treatment team, jail diversion, and community corrections, and was part of an interdisciplinary mental health court team.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I serve on Southern Oregon University's and Rogue Community College's human services advisory panels. In the past I have served as the board vice-president for Oregon Society of Clinical Hypnosis (2023-2025), as well as the board vice-president for Recovery Cafe Medford/Reclaiming Lives (2019-2022). I have also served as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Southern Oregon University and the Social Services department at Rogue Community College.
