Education & Experience

With over 20 years of experience in both correctional and community settings, I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, stress, and adversity to create the life they truly want. My work is deeply rooted in EMDR Therapy, an evidence-based approach proven to help the brain and body process distressing experiences and restore balance. I have advanced training in EMDR, including Attachment-Focused EMDR, DeTUR and Connecting the Consequences protocols for addiction and impulse control, and Early Intervention/Recent Event protocols for recent or ongoing stress. These methods are especially effective for addressing distressing life events such as car accidents, medical trauma, workplace stress, or relationship challenges—before they become more deeply ingrained. In addition to weekly EMDR sessions, I offer EMDR Intensives, designed for individuals seeking focused healing in a shorter period of time. These intensives can be particularly beneficial for high-achieving professionals, first responders, and healthcare providers who need relief but have demanding schedules. I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training, supporting other clinicians in strengthening their EMDR skills and confidence. My background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care further complements my integrative, compassionate approach to healing. I hold a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (2011) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services (2006) from Montana State University–Billings.
