About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified EMDR Therapist & Approved Consultant. I have cofounded The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment where I offer IFS-informed EMDR therapy for individuals and EMDR consultation for professionals. I have advanced training in IFS-informed EMDR and act as a practicum facilitator (Guide) through the Syzygy Institute. My background working in co-occurring SUD & MH treatment and noticing unresolved trauma in many clients in those programs led me to my primary focus in trauma treatment. I specialize in working with complex trauma, c-PTSD, and attachment wounding. Currently, I work with adolescents through adults (ages 14-70) who are struggling in the present based on unmet relational needs of the past. My style as a therapist is warm, grounding, direct, and deeply relational. I view present day struggles as unhealed wounds from the past and take an experiential & holistic approach in working with my clients. I work with male identifying individuals who have repressed emotions (I.e. anger, sadness, anxiety, shame, etc.) and learned to dissociate, turn to unhealthy self-soothing behaviors, and avoid conflict to survive. I work with female identifying individuals who are recovering from narcissistic abuse & neglect and learned to people please, self-abandon needs, and use anxious attachment strategies to survive. I work with and have a special interest in working with adopted individuals based on my professional & personal experience as an adoptee. I help with working through adoption-related issues such as belonging, confusion about identity, and struggling with trust & safety in relationships develop healthy strategies for connecting with self and others. Additionally, I enjoy working with other therapists and mental health professionals address past trauma & attachment wounds that can show up in the therapy space. I help therapists gain clarity around their story to promote more of a self-led practice.
