About Me
Originally from England, Tracy Iveson brings a broad perspective shaped by her experiences of living and working across the UK and Ireland. She began her career as a psychologist in Northern Ireland, where she worked in community and clinical settings supporting adults, including those working in frontline and demanding occupations, experiencing a range of personal and psychological concerns. She moved to Nova Scotia in October 2015 and has been practising privately as a Counselling Psychologist since January 2016.
Tracy is an integrative, collaborative and person-centred Counselling Psychologist working with adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, stress, self-esteem concerns, interpersonal difficulties and other emotional and life stressors.
Education & Experience
Tracy has specialized in EMDR since 2010 and is an EMDRIA-certified therapist. She has additional training in Attachment-Focused EMDR, the FLASH Technique and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based approaches, tailoring therapy to each individual's needs, circumstances and goals.
Her approach recognizes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Tracy works collaboratively with clients to determine the most appropriate approach and focus for their individual needs, including EMDR when appropriate.
Tracy has experience working with clients through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and the RCMP, and offers direct billing for eligible clients through VAC, the RCMP and Medavie Blue Cross.
