About Me

Throughout my career I've learned a healthy life is more than the absence of illness. When I envision 'optimal health' I think about quality of life, happiness, mental health, productivity and healthy interpersonal relationships. The intrinsic and extrinsic skills I have developed are a result of my ambitious nature, passionate outlook on life, varied life conditions and world travels. I am educated, book smart, street savvy, analytical and resilient. I have an MA in Counselling Psychology and licensed as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.). I am an EMDR trained therapist and ART trained clinician. I currently work for the Government of Northwest Territories as a Mental Health And Addictions Counsellor serving the Yellowknife Region. Duties include critical incident response, crisis support, and mental health/addiction support in remote, fly-in only indigenous communities in the NWT.
