About Me

Lori L. McGruder is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida, a Board Certified National Counselor, EMDR Certified, and a Level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns. Lori received her Masters and Specialists Degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!). She has worked in a variety of settings, including maximum security prisons and a university affiliated dual diagnosis treatment center. Lori is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Therapies and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has been practicing clinical mental health counseling for over 20 years. Her experience includes treating impaired professionals monitored by PRN/IPN/LAP. Lori lives in Gainesville, FL with her daughter and little rescue dog. She is a beach enthusiast and avid reader.
