About Me

I’m a Clinical Social Worker and owner of Be Yourself Counseling, LLC
, providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in Florida and Ohio. My approach is integrative, relational, and grounded in creating a space where clients feel safe enough to fully be themselves while working toward meaningful healing and growth.

I specialize in developmental and relational trauma, neurodivergence, and chronic pain or illness. I work with individuals who often feel misunderstood, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from navigating environments that have not fully supported their needs. Many of the clients I work with have spent years trying to “push through” their experiences while carrying the lasting impact of early life experiences, attachment wounds, nervous system dysregulation, masking, burnout, or the emotional weight of living with chronic health conditions.

As an EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant in Training, I integrate EMDR with somatic approaches, parts and ego state work, CBT, DBT, and other trauma-informed interventions tailored to each client’s needs. My work focuses on helping clients better understand their nervous system responses, build self-compassion, strengthen emotional regulation, and move toward a life that feels more connected, authentic, and sustainable.

My goal is always to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow into who they were always meant to be.

Education & Experience

I attended Indiana Wesleyan University from 2013–2019, where I earned my Master of Social Work degree. I remain committed to ongoing education and continually expanding my knowledge of trauma, the nervous system, and evidence-based approaches that support meaningful healing and growth for clients.

I have completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic approaches, ego state work, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). These trainings deepened my understanding of how experiences from conception through adulthood can shape emotional development, nervous system responses, relationships, and overall functioning. My continued learning allows me to provide integrative, developmentally informed care tailored to each client’s unique experiences and needs.
