About Me

I have been practicing as a counselor for more than four years and human services for an additional three years prior to this. I am a nationally certified, licensed professional counselor, specializing in trauma-focused treatment for survivors of abuse. In practice as a counselor, I have served over 95 survivors of childhood abuse. My therapeutic style is genuine and warm, with a healthy dose of humor. I am supportive and encourage those I work with by empowering them in the healing process. This is done through informed education and support in the processing of abuse for the survivors and their caregiver’s. My approach is flexible and tailored to the individual needs of those I work with. I believe that much like the body; the mind naturally moves toward healing. This is done within the context of a therapeutic relationship.
