About Me

Sharon Klein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst, and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor with nearly two decades of experience in clinical and educational settings. She is EMDRIA Certified in EMDR Therapy, has advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is also a TBRI® Practitioner, bringing trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches into her practice. Sharon’s passion is integrating evidence-based therapies with Christian counseling to support individuals and families in finding lasting healing and hope.In 2012, Sharon founded Sharon Klein Counseling. In 2020, with the support of her husband Jeremy—who also coined the practice’s nickname, SKC—the practice expanded into a thriving group. Sharon provides the clinical leadership while Jeremy manages “everything but the clinical work,” enabling SKC to flourish as both a professional service and a ministry outreach. Today, SKC is staffed by a team of talented and compassionate clinicians who share Sharon’s vision for biblically grounded, clinically excellent care. Together, they bring a wealth of expertise to clients seeking support for trauma, grief, anxiety, relationships, and spiritual growth. In addition to leading SKC, Sharon serves as a School Social Worker at a Long Island high school, where she coordinates student support services and provides both individual and school-based counseling. She partners with teachers, administrators, and families to foster trauma-informed, relationship-centered interventions in the school community. Sharon is also deeply invested in integrating EMDR therapy with Christian counseling to equip clinicians and churches to better support emotional and spiritual well-being in those they serve. A lifelong Christian, Sharon has been active in ministry at CenterPoint Church for nearly 20 years, contributing as a prayer team member, Life Group leader, and through missions work. She has spoken at church and school events on Long Island and continues to embrace opportunities to share her faith and professional insights. Sharon and Jeremy live on Long Island with their two children, Warren and Lizzy, who fill their home with hugs and enough energy to keep them on their toes.
