About Me
Something still hasn't let go.
You've done therapy before, and it helped at that time. But sometimes the part that understands isn't the same part still carrying it.
Trauma memories don't store the way ordinary memories do. They stay live, fragmented, easy to activate. You've tried to move past it. And mostly you have.
Until something pulls you back without warning: a tone of voice, a moment of distance, a situation that shouldn't carry this much weight. The response is faster than thought. The body is already there before you've decided to go.
EMDR works at the level where that experience gets stuck, helping the nervous system process what it couldn't process at the time. For women whose trauma, grief, anxiety, and attachment wounds are still active in the body long after the original pain, it can move what other approaches haven't.
I work with women whose trauma, attachment wounds, grief, anxiety, and recurring patterns are still active long after the initial pain took hold. I’m an EMDRIA-certified therapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Brainspotting Phase II trained therapist.
I'm licensed in Texas, Oregon, and Washington and offer online therapy across all three states. My practice is primarily online, though I also see some clients in person in San Antonio.
Sometimes what hasn't moved yet isn't resistant. It just hasn't been processed in the right way.
