Amber Gordon, LCSW
(She/Her/Hers)
Preferred Name: Amber
About Me
My name is Amber Gordon (she/her/hers), and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW115164) and EMDR Certified Therapist. I received my master's degree in social work from the University of Southern California and bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Irvine. I developed my clinical skills in various mental health settings, including community mental health, substance use treatment, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. I have prioritized working with marginalized communities, such as communities of color, LGBTQ+ identified folx, HIV+/at risk populations, and those experiencing houselessness. My goal is to help guide folx through discovering their own power and potential. By utilizing a low barrier and anti-oppressive approach that focuses on the humanization and empowerment of the individual, I hope to reinforce that everyone is worthy of healing. My work is informed by critical race theory, queer feminist theory, and ecological systems theory. I am committed to delivering high quality mental health services through a trauma-informed and focused lens.
