About Me

I have a broad expertise gained through clinical practice, advanced training, and in an academic environment as a professor. I help facilitating change and healing for individuals throughout their life span as well as for couples and families. Treating those suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, behavioral and relationship issues, and other concerns are among the areas of my specialty. I also take pride in serving individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I enjoy helping individuals heal, see breakthroughs, and increase their resilience and ability to find effective approaches to their concerns. My passion is to resource my clients to overcome their internal and external obstacles interfering with their wellbeing and ability to move forward. I facilitate an environment that enables my clients to unlock the doors and untie the knots that keep them stuck in the past. They learn adaptive coping and find meaning and strength to live their lives with more purpose and courage. Sometimes, healing might mean rebuilding from the very foundation when faced with life-changing adversities. Issues germinate and gain destructive properties if ignored or dealt with using unhelpful defenses. Thus, every day is a good day to start taking small steps toward healing.

Education & Experience

I gained my Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree at Adler University in Chicago in 2009, after becoming interested in ways of empowering us to overcome life's adversities. Previously, I obtained a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Sociology, and I also had a paralegal education, which allowed me to work in a legal setting.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I have the authority to practice in these states https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap through PSYPACT; I am a member of Illinois Psychological Association.
