About Me
I am in private practice in Charlotte, MI and have in the field of Clinical Social Work for over 25 years. I worked for the State of Michigan Department of Corrections for 12 years, CEI Community Mental Health for 16.5, and have worked in Private Practice full time since 2017. My hobbies include walking, rescuing dogs, playing the piano, and reading.
Education & Experience
Master of Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University in 2000, Bachelors of Social Work with Psychology Minor from Easter Michigan University in 1998, and Associates Degree in Psychology from Jackson Community College in 1992. I have a certificate in working with traumatized children from TLC (Trauma and Loss in Children Center/ William Steele, Ph.D.) in 2000. In 2008 earned the Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I taught Alcohol Education Classes (weekend class) for Prevention and Training Services for a little less than four years for people charged with Alcohol Related Offenses. Worked with the Multi Family Groups model while at Community Mental Health. Completed DBT Training (5 Day) and co-facilitated DBT Skills groups as well as was periodically DBT on call therapist. Complete Animals and Human Health Certificate (University of Denver) in 2017.
