About Me
I’m Jess Stern, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I have extensive experience working within the LGBTQ+ community and folks with ADHD. I myself am neurodivergent (ADHD) and identify as a lesbian. My approach is relational and real—I show up as my full self so you feel safe to do the same. I’m not a blank slate therapist, and I believe healing happens in an authentic, collaborative space. Outside of my professional life, I’m an animal lover who finds adventure in traveling, indulging in good food, and rock climbing. I’ve lived in Washington, D.C. for over 11 years and currently live on Capitol Hill with my partner and dog. I deeply appreciate the diverse community around me and strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those I work with.

I interned at The Whitman Walker Clinic specializing in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community while also getting trained in EMDR at this time. Since then, I have worked in private practice specializing in EMDR, IFS, LGBTQ+ issues, and PTSD. I newly work in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) and was trained through Journey Clinical.
