About Me
Cynthia Lamont can meet clients from both B.C. and Alberta via the online Jane System. For in-person sessions in Kelowna, you can book directly through the website. Cynthia, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), believes in helping clients achieve greater happiness by improving their emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Cynthia graduated with honours from Yorkville University in New Brunswick, receiving a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). Cynthia completed her residency in Calgary, Alberta, where she practiced as a Registered Provisional Psychologist.
As a certified trauma-informed counsellor, Cynthia will incorporate elements from different theoretical interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, according to her clients' needs.
Cynthia's approach to counselling is based on the belief that success is a direct result of mutual respect and collaboration between her and all clients, whether they are couples, families, or youth in distress. The therapeutic alliance is established by thoroughly understanding clients' challenges, strengths, and goals, enabling compelling and personalized change.

Direct Bill Insurance: The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) are approved professionals. Approved Mental Health professional with Pacific Blue Cross, Green Shield, and Sun Life.
