Welcome to my profile! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose passion lies in helping others heal from past experiences and empowering them to move forward with their personal goals. I utilize a strengths-based approach, helping clients identify and improve their ability to reach their full potential. My approach is also a collaborative one in a safe and supportive environment, and tailored to your unique needs. I look forward to working with you!
Education & Experience
I earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have received advanced training through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I completed both the Maternal Mental Health Webinar Certificate Course and the Advanced Psychotherapy Certificate Course from Postpartum Support International. I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification from Postpartum Support International. I also have a Certificate in Advanced Trauma Treatment from The Ferentz Institute in Baltimore and a postgraduate certificate from the Postpartum Stress Center on treating postpartum depression and anxiety. Lastly, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked providing trauma informed therapeutic services in a variety of settings to those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, postpartum mood disorders, and other mental health issues. I have had the privilege of working with adolescents, adults and families through my work at Center for Families in Malvern, PA, The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders in Radnor, PA and at HopeWorks (formerly the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center) in Maryland.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I serve as a Board Member on the Southwest Philadelphia Chapter of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals). I have provided volunteer consulting services for Radnor Police Department on implementing their Community Support Unit, a specialized unit providing a Licensed Social Worker co-responding with law enforcement to mental health crises in the community. Lastly, I serve as a Board Member of Root to Branch, a 501(c)3 organization that funds high quality EMDR treatment for victims of domestic violence, medical trauma, first responders and military.
