Carolyn Light, LCAT

About Me

Like many therapists, I work with a wide range of conditions, but my specialties include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and loss. My focus is on building a collaborative space where we can really speak to you and your needs. You’re unique. You have had different experiences, and there’s no one exactly like you. That means that, while I do integrate evidence based therapies, I want to also make sure that you’re receiving personal care that is built around you. I am trained to provide many types of therapy, including psychodynamic, person- centered, CBT, EDMR, and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. I also have a background in “art therapy” which integrates not only art, but interpretation of that art to explore emotions and gain a better understanding of yourself. I know how the past shapes who we are today, and so I am mindful and address past experiences, and how they show up in present relationships, reactions, and even our bodies. My goal is to look holistically at your mental health. I want to help you explore your feelings and really put on a path towards not only better mental health but a better overall life.
