About Me

With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Joe Wriston has served in a variety of community-based roles—including therapeutic mentoring, foster care prevention case management, truancy intervention, in-home services, private day school counseling, and outpatient therapy. Joe specializes in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related diagnoses, and substance use challenges. He also has experience supporting military personnel and first responders and is a veteran of the United States Army. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma. Joe has a deep passion for helping people overcome life’s hardships while staying true to their values and beliefs. His person-centered approach focuses on growth, resilience, and restoring hope. In his free time, Joe enjoys being outdoors, hiking, traveling, exercising, and catching up on his favorite TV shows.
